Seeing Jesus grow up serves as a bridge between the sweet baby Jesus and the strong man Jesus becomes. That bridge will help children begin to realize that Jesus was a real person. Seeing Jesus as a child will also help the children understand that Jesus not only knows about children but understands them because He once was a child.
