8-12: Growing In Obedience

This unit takes an in-depth look at the importance and necessity of having an obedient heart. Why obey? The reasons are many. This unit focuses on willing and immediate obedience out of love for God. First John 5:3 says, “This is love for God: to obey his commands.” Obedience is fundamental to the Christian faith. In fact, it is evidence of faith—the faith that overcomes the world. Obedience shows others that we believe Jesus is the Son of God.
