3-4: God Makes Families
Standard
Young children recognize and feel love when it comes in the form of a big kiss or hug. They may need help in understanding that love is also expressed when a trip to the park is planned, or ice cream and other treats are on the menu. A young child probably does not, however, appreciate that Mom is showing love when she makes the child take a bath or lie down for a nap.
